About Scholarship
The Tim Towarak Memorial Scholarship is a merit-based competitive scholarship awarded annually to a high-performing student enrolled in an accredited college or university. Candidates for this scholarship are professional career-track BSNC shareholder or descendant students with a passion for advocating for (or serving) Alaska Native people. Students do not need to apply separately for this scholarship. Preference for the scholarship award will be given to students who are Alaska residents. In the Fall, the scholarship will open on March 1, with a deadline of June 30 for courses that typically begin in August and end in December. For Spring, the scholarship will open on October 1, with a deadline of December 1 for courses that typically begin in January and end in May. For Summer, the scholarship will open on March 1, with a deadline of May 15 for courses that typically start in May and end in August. For vocational programs, the application must be submitted six weeks prior to training start date. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
