About Scholarship
The People of Praise Scholarship is for elementary, middle, high school students, high school graduates, and college students who are members of People of Praise or a dependent child of a member. Students selected to receive this scholarship must be a member or dependent child of a member of The People of Praise (Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR branch), an ecumenical Christian community; be currently attending or planning to attend either a Christian elementary school, a Christian high school, or an accredited college, university, technical or career school during the upcoming school year; and remain in good academic standing. For K-5th grade students or parent applicants, there is no further additional activity or essay information required. For 6th-8th grade students or parent applicants, please have each applicant compose their own essays. For 9th-12th grade student applicants, please answer the activity and essay prompts within the application. Applicants must submit two letters of reference, one from school personnel and one personal reference.
