About Scholarship
The Margaret, The Lady Thatcher Award aims to recognize a student who embodies the traits of scholarship, character, and service within the School of Education and the William & Mary community. If there are no students nominated or if there are no nominees who appear eligible to receive the medallion then the Dean may nominate an extraordinary individual for the medallion. Students must be eligible to participate in the May commencement ceremony. The Department, when nominating a student, must attach a short biography of the Nominee and a Vita as a supplement to the narrative. They must also elaborate on the outstanding merits of the nominee in the categories of Scholarship, Character, and Service. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
