About Scholarship
The College Scholarship for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington was established in 2011 to provide assistance to members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington. This scholarship focuses on students who have a strong work ethic and desire to improve themselves. Applicants must be a current member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington. In addition to current members of the B&G Clubs of SWWA, low-income high school volunteers and students that are connected to the Boys and Girls Clubs in nontraditional ways are also eligible to apply. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors. This scholarship is renewable. Preference will be given to renewal applicants that are working at least 10 hours per week. Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation from a person who can speak to their character, leadership, talents, and academic record. Letters from immediate or extended family members will not be accepted. This letter is not required, but is strongly recommended.
